OUR APPROACH
From the packaging around your crockery to the lights in our warehouse, sustainability means looking at the details. Here are the changes we’ve made across WA Carr & Son.
01 / MATERIALS
Our crockery and seat-pad bags have been replaced with fully recyclable alternatives. We no longer shrink-wrap crockery, and our event carpet is now fully recyclable.

02 / PAPERLESS OPERATIONS
Moving to our delivery platform has allowed us to remove 5,000 paper delivery notes. Our warehouse team now prepares orders using tablets instead of printed pick sheets.
These everyday changes reduce the paper used to get each order ready and out on the road.
03 / DELIVERIES
Our vehicles have been upgraded to Euro 6 engines, and our delivery platform helps us optimise delivery routes. Carbon-offsetting options are also available to customers; ask our team for details when planning your hire.
04 / OUR TEAM
We’ve installed bicycle parking at our warehouse and encourage staff to cycle to work wherever possible.
It’s a practical way to support colleagues who can make their commute by bike.
05 / OUR WAREHOUSE
Our warehouse uses LED lighting throughout, with renewable energy supplied through the Farmers Union. Insulated shutters and walls help reduce the need for large heaters.
